Dr Maisarah Ali is an Associate Professor in the Department of Building Technology in Kulliyyah of Architecture and Environmental Design, International Islamic University Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. Presently she hold a position as Director for Centre of Built Environment in Kulliyyah.
She was for 9 years at the University of International Islamic University Malaysia . Her specialist research field is in the area of Rehabilitation and Maintenance Structures, Bridge Inspection, Facilities Maintenance, Sustainable Building, Concrete, Traffic and Highway Planning, Renewal Energy, Water Environmental Planning, Occupational, Safety and Health in the construction and engineering sectors.

Dr. Maisarah is involved with international collaborative work with academics and industrialists at home and overseas in research and in the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Dr. Maisarah also organizes and facilitates conferences, seminars and workshops for both academia and industry at home and overseas.

She is involved in postgraduate supervision managing many Masters and Doctoral students and has provided seminars on research management at the kulliyyah level during her term as the Deputy Dean (Postgraduates and Research) in Kulliyyah Architecture and Environmental Design, International Islamic University Malaysia
